Al Gore in Stone

(Nashville, Tennessee) The Tennessee Senate State and Local Government Committee has approved a measure to support the creation of a privately-funded Al Gore statue to be built on the grounds of the Tennessee Capitol.

The resolution now goes for a full Senate vote. It was previously passed by the House.

Frankly, I think Tennessee lawmakers should adopt a more prudent approach and wait until history judges Al Gore's works before casting his image in stone.
