China Accused of Stealing Green Technology

(Washington) A measure authored by Democrat Rep. Rick Larsen was approved in the U.S. House of Representatives with intentions of protecting intellectual property rights of green technologies ahead of the Copenhagen global warming meeting in December.

The measure was prompted by a belief that the Chinese are aiming to steal green technology and deny the U.S. of "million of jobs" tied to global warming.
Despite a recession, President Barack Obama has vowed to work to halt the planet’s warming, which UN scientists warn will threaten severe weather and the extinction of plant and animal species later this century if unchecked.
Heh. It appears that concerns regarding global warming are secondary to which country gets to profit.
"Sure I want to save the Planet. But first, I want my cut."
Some crisis, eh? Logically, if the end-of-the-world scenarios had any validity, nobody would care who profited or received credit for the solution. It's largely a political scam.
