Bruno Banned

(Hamburg, Germany) German education officials have ordered a character called Bruno to be removed from a children's textbook and replaced with a character named Aydan.
Officials in Hamburg were reportedly unhappy at having a character with the same name as Sacha Baron Cohen's Nazi-praising Austrian journalist Bruno.

They also wanted something that would not offend the Muslim community, and so chose the Turkish name Aydan.
Interestingly, the book teaches about politics and democracy which, ironically, probably also offends the Muslims.
