Mafia Linked to Names/Accts Theft

A 39-year-old man, Lee Klein, has been indicted in a Florida federal court on a charge of racketeering for allegedly accessing confidential information on more than 13,000 LexisNexis subscribers.
According to a federal indictment, Klein worked for the criminal “crew” of Thomas Fiore, an associate of the Bonanno organized crime family.

The indictment alleges that Klein illegally accessed “information obtained from computer databases in order to acquire identification information regarding potential victims of extortion” and people suspected by Fiore’s criminal organization of being involved with law enforcement.
LexisNexis sent letters of notification to 13,329 "potentially affected individuals."
