A 22-year-old female driver for Oscar Meyer rammed the Wienermobile into a garage and foundation of a two-story home. Apparently she became confused about the gears on the vehicle. Oscar Meyer spokeswoman Sydney Linder says that insurance will cover the cost of repairing all damage.
Although damage to the wiener wasn't reported, Linder said that "We expect to be back on the hot dog highways spreading miles of smiles in no time." Notably, there won't be any miles of smiles in Hawaii after an environmental group recently rousted the Wienermobile from the islands.
Hot dog highways? Heh.
