Be advised that I just deleted a series of comments I consider to be inappropriate for this blog.

As a general guide, I try to keep the blog posts at the PG-level. Comments are allowed wider latitude but not to the extent I've seen recently.

With the exception of spammers, I customarily don't block specific URLs from commenting. The issue, however, has been put on the table.
