Teacher Gets Deferred Adjudication in Sex Case - Updated

(Plano, Texas) Special Education teacher at Carpenter Middle School, Mariane Kieffer, has been sentenced to deferred adjudication indicating that the charges against her will likely be modified, typically they are dropped, upon successful completion of the term of deferment.

Texas Teacher Accused of Sex with Boy

(Plano, Texas) A 29-year-old special education teacher at Carpenter Middle School, Mariane Kieffer, was arrested last Friday for allegedly liquoring up and engaging in sex with a 14-year-old boy.

Kieffer faces charges of improper relationship between educator and student and sexual assault of a child.
Court records state the victim told detectives on the first encounter he went to Kieffer’s home, drank Crown Royal and became intoxicated. He said they were sitting in her son’s bedroom when she initiated the sexual advancements. He told detectives that on other occasions, Kieffer would pick him up from school and take him to her house to have sex anywhere from five to 10 times.
Plano Police are pursuing the possibility of other victims.

Kieffer was booked into custody at the Collin County Detention Center and released on $50,000 bond. She has been placed on administrative leave by the school system.
