(Stafford, Virginia) A 36-year-old youth minister at St. Matthias United Methodist Church, Jennifer Michelle Brennan, was indicted this week on charges stemming from engaging in a sexual relationship with a 15-year-old boy she was counseling in the church's youth program.
Brennan faces ten counts of taking liberties with a child and 10 counts of contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
That minor is allegedly a 15 year-old-boy she was counseling at St. Matthias United Methodist Church where she had been the youth director for a year and a half.Brennan, a married mother-of-two, had been counseling the boy and his girlfriend against premarital sex.
The pastor declined to comment on camera but says the allegations were brought to her attention in mid July.
She took immediate action by contacting local authorities and placing Brennan on unpaid administrative leave.
The pastor says so far no one else has stepped forward. The Stafford County Sheriff Office plans to issue an arrest warrant in the next couple of days
