Ohio HS Coach Arrested for Sex with Female Student

(Xenia, Ohio) A guidance counselor and volleyball coach at Xenia High School, Brenda Osborne, was arrested today for allegedly engaging in sex with a female teenage student. Osborne faces three counts of sexual battery.

Detectives informed school officials of the incidents Thursday shortly before arresting Osborne, whose team faces Beavercreek tonight, said Jeff Lewis, superintendent. The alleged misconduct occurred off school grounds and district officials are cooperating with police.

Osborne is on paid leave pending the outcome of the inquiry. “It’s been quite a shock to us,” Lewis said.

Osborne has been with the district more than a decade. She worked as a gym and health teacher before becoming a counselor.

Osborne was booked into custody and subsequently released on $7,500 bond.
