(Norristown, Pennsylvania) A 30-year-old Pottstown woman, Deidra Diane Beckett, has been accused of engaging in sexual relations with a 15-year-old boy. Beckett faces charges of statutory sexual assault, aggravated indecent assault, involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, indecent assault, unlawful contact with a minor and corruption of a minor.
The alleged sexual offenses reportedly occurred in June and July.
An investigation of Beckett began in August after Pottstown authorities learned about the alleged sexual encounters between Beckett and the boy.Beckett waived her arraignment and pleaded not guilty to all charges in Montgomery County Court. A trial date remains to be set. Meanwhile, Beckett is free on $5,000 unsecured bail.
When police confronted Beckett she allegedly admitted to having five separate sexual encounters with the boy, who she knew to be 15, according to the arrest affidavit filed by Pottstown Detective Rebecca Moletzsky. The sexual encounters occurred at various locations in the borough, according to court papers.
“(The boy) stated their relationship changed from friendship to sexual, prior to them having sexual intercourse,” Moletzsky alleged in the criminal complaint.
