Florida Teacher Allegedly Drives Hammered, Crashes

(Vero Beach, Florida) A 30-year-old teacher at Dodgertown Elementary School, Keri Gielow, was arrested Saturday for allegedly driving drunk and leaving the scene of an accident.

Gielow reportedly crashed her car into a van which was stopped at a light and carrying five people who suffered non-life threatening injuries. The five injured persons were taken for treatment at the Sebastian Medical Center.

Upon searching Gielow's car, Indian River County Sheriff's deputies found that her purse contained a half-full bottle of vodka.

Gielow was booked into custody and later released on $16,000 bond.
