Kentucky Woman and Boy, 15

(Danville, Kentucky) A 35-year-old local woman, Christina Miracle, has pleaded guilty in Madison County to rape charges involving a 15-year-old boy. She faces similar charges in Garrard County.

Christina Miracle, 35, pleaded guilty earlier this month on the eve of her trial in Madison Circuit Court to third-degree rape for having sex with the boy at her Richmond apartment in the summer of 2007, said Madison County Commonwealth’s Attorney David Smith.

The crime is a Class D felony, punishable by one to five years in prison. Smith will recommend Miracle serve a year in jail at her formal sentencing, scheduled for Dec. 10 before Judge Jean Logue.

“I finally said ‘enough.” We’re either going to have a trial or a guilty plea,” Smith said of the oft-delayed case.

It is not clear how the outcome of Miracle’s case in Madison County will impact her case in Garrard Circuit Court, where she is charged with five counts of third-degree rape involving the same boy in August and September of 2007.

A status hearing is scheduled for November 20 in Garrard Circuit Court.
