New Hampshire Woman Gets Prison in Child-Sex Case

(Keene, New Hampshire) A 50-year-old Troy woman, Linda Hicks, has been sentenced to two to 10 years in New Hampshire State Prison for engaging in sex with a teen boy under the age of 16.

Hicks pleaded guilty last May in Cheshire County Court to three counts of aggravated felonious sexual assault according to documents released this week. She received the two-to-10-year sentence for one count. Judge Brian T. Tucker imposed suspended prison sentences of five to 10 years on each of the other counts.

Hicks is also barred from having contact with her victim or his family and anyone under the age of 16 when unsupervised.

Hicks was convicted for offenses committed between June 30, 2005, and April 30, 2008, in Cheshire County.
