Tax Amnesty in Connecticut

(Hartford, Connecticut) Apparently, citizens of the state have had difficulty in prompt payment of their taxes so the authorities are offering an amnesty period with reduced payment incentives.
Under the Connecticut Tax Settlement Incentive program, the state Department of Revenue Services is offering to reduce outstanding interest by 50 percent and eliminate all penalties, if a taxpayer settles its debt with the state by Dec. 15.
Notification letters will be sent out to 75,000 delinquent payers this week.

Note that citizens who don't receive notification and believe they should be on the delinquent taxpayers list and thereby eligible for amnesty are encouraged to call the Department of Revenue. Yeh, like that'll happen.
