(Ciudad Juarez, Mexico) Business groups in the border city have appealed for United Nations peacekeepers to be deployed to try and reduce the rampant violence.
According to Soledad Maynez, the president of the city's Association of Maquiladoras, the crime wave has prompted 6000 shops and other firms to close or move out of the city.I'd suggest empirical evidence is available to indicate that neither the Army of Peace nor the Religion of Peace is accurately named.
"With the blue helmets, we know they are the army of peace, so we could use the strategies they have developed in other countries," said Ms Maynez.
