Texas Teacher Accused of Computer Theft

(San Antonio, Texas) A 40-year-old teacher with the Judson Independent School District, Stephanie Christian, was arrested this week for allegedly stealing a laptop computer assigned to a student.

Christian has been charged with theft of $500 to $1,500 by a public servant.

Using a computer tracking system, police discovered the user's Facebook account and determined it belonged to Christian. Detectives went to her home and were allowed in by Christian's husband, who told them the laptop was inside.

The computer matched the serial number and other identifying information of the missing laptop, and it was confiscated.

Christian was booked into custody and released on $2,000 bond.
