(Des Moines, Iowa) A 31-year-old local woman, Tanya Rae Cano, was arrested this past week on drugs and sexual exploitation charges. According to Polk County Jail booking data, Cano faces two charges: (1) sexual exploitation by a counselor or therapist and (2) narcotics delivery Schedule II.Cano was placed into custody at the Polk County Jail with total bond set at $120,000.
Meanwhile, in a seemingly-related report, a woman named Tanya Cano and a 17-year-old youth named Tanor Jimmison were involved in an incident in which a package containing 53 pounds of marijuana was delivered to a residence occupied by Jimmison. However, the package was addressed to Thomas Jefferson. As reported, the package was delivered and then stolen by an armed bandit. Although police were notified, no arrests were reportedly made.
It's suspected that the Tanya Cano booked into jail is the same person who was involved in the marijuana event. Need confirmation and information regarding the charges.
