(Nampa, Idaho) For enticing a young boy over the Internet, 33-year-old local woman Ruth Alvarez was sentenced earlier today to seven years in prison.
Police say the boy's mother notified them when she found a questionable letter sent to the teen by Alvarez.Alvarez must also register as a sex offender.
An undercover officer then posed as the teen during online chats with Alvarez, during which time the police say she made sexual comments to who she thought was the 13-year-old.

(Boise, Idaho) Thirty-three-year-old Ruth Alvarez pleaded guilty before Third District Judge Renae Hoff to felony enticement.
The judge ordered a psychosexual evaluation and scheduled sentencing for December 6.

(Caldwell, Idaho) A 33-year-old Nampa woman, Ruth Z. Alvarez, has been accused of attempting to seduce a 13-year-old boy over the Internet. She faces a charge of child enticement.
According to court documents, the mother of the 13-year-old told police Ruth Z. Alvarez, a family friend, had written her son a letter expressing her sexual interest. Alvarez reportedly requested the boy add her as a friend on the social networking website MySpace.With respect to engaging in sex with the 13-year-old, Alvarez told police she woulda if she coulda.
A Nampa Police Department detective logged onto the boy's MySpace account with his permission. He initiated online chats with Alvarez after she attempted to message the boy, during which she allegedly made comments regarding her desire to have sex with the 13-year-old, the document states.
