(Richmond, Kentucky) Jaclyn Vanwinkle was sentenced earlier today for the convictions on rape and sodomy of a 15-year-old boy.
She received one year in prison.
Notably, Vanwinkle's offenses caused the Attorney General's office to revisit her previously probated sentence for abuse of resident at Madison Manor nursing home.
In that case, Vanwinkle received 12 months in prison which was diverted for a period of two years as long as she stayed out of trouble. Well, that became moot in May when she pleaded guilty to rape and sodomy.
As a consequence, Vanwinkle's probation was revoked and she was sent to serve the 12-month sentence she originally received in April 2009.
So, in conclusion it appears that Vanwinkle will only serve 12 months in prison for the elderly abuse and the rape and sodomy of a boy. No information has been received regarding future probation or possible sex offender requirements.
KY Woman Guilty of Sex with Boy
[Previous 5/14/10 post]
(Richmond, Kentucky) In July 2009, a local woman, Jaclyn VanWinkle, was arrested for allegedly liquoring up and engaging in sex with a 15-year-old boy.
In September, VanWinkle was indicted on counts of third-degree rape, third-degree sodomy, third-degree unlawful transaction with a minor and first-degree sexual abuse.
Yesterday, VanWinkle pleaded guilty per an agreement to third-degree rape and third-degree sodomy. Other charges were dropped.
The prosecution recommended a sentence of one year in prison for each charge, to run concurrently. Sentencing awaits the completion of a sex offender evaluation and a pre-sentencing interview.
Notably, VanWinkle was on probation when she was arrested. She has a prior conviction for reckless abuse of an adult.
