Maryland Teacher Accused of Sex Assault

(Salisbury, Maryland) A 30-year-old fourth-grade teacher at East Salisbury Elementary School, Candace Pianka, has been arrested for the alleged sex abuse of her 13-year-old daughter.

Authorities indicate that Pianka admitted to the sexual abuse. She faces charges of sexual abuse of a minor and assault.

Pianka was booked into custody. A bond amount wasn't reported.
