(Tucson, Arizona) Former English teacher at Tucson Rincon High School, Jennifer Whiting, received the minimum in accordance with the plea agreement, one year in jail.

(Tucson, Arizona) Former English teacher at Tucson Rincon High School, Jennifer Whiting, pleaded guilty today to felony sexual conduct with a 16-year-old student.

Whiting will either be sentenced to probation with one year in jail or receive a prison sentence of between two years and 8 years, 9 months, under the terms of her plea agreement.

She will also have to register as a sex offender.

Pima County Superior Court Judge Howard Fell will sentence Whiting Dec. 5.

I suggest Whiting will be treated leniently since she has two children at home.

Teacher Accused of Sending Nude Pix to Boy

(Tucson, Arizona) A 32-year-old English teacher at Tucson Rincon High School, Jennifer Whiting, was arrested yesterday for allegedly sending inappropriate photos to a 16-year-old male student. She faces one count of furnishing items harmful to a minor.

Whiting was reportedly in the process of going to meet the boy when she was arrested.

In order to go meet him, Whiting left her two minor children sitting at home, police say.

Police were alerted to the relationship by the boy's father, who apparently wasn't too thrilled that a teacher at his son's school was sending the boy racy photos of herself.

Whiting was booked into custody at the Pima County Jail.
