(Gaza Strip) Incrementally, the radical Hamas-controlled Gaza government has been imposing new restrictions on the Palestinian people under the guise of protecting public morality.
New prohibitions have included a ban on women smoking hookah pipes in public, a ban on women riding behind men on motor scooters, and now there is a ban on retail shops showing women's underwear and scantily-clad mannequins in display windows.
Hamas contends that displays of women's underwear are immoral. Meanwhile, the issue also remains controversial in Saudi Arabia. Apparently, the sight of female unmentionables tends to affect the behavior of Muslim males.
Reportedly, the pictures illustrate the result of Saudi men looking at women's underwear.
