Woman Arrested for Hiding Crack in Underwear

(Lehigh Acres, Florida) A local woman, Britney Andrews, and a male companion, Jerry Coleman, both 21, have been arrested on charges of possession of crack cocaine.
According to a sheriff's report, a deputy pulled over Coleman and Andrews after spotting a faulty tag light on a car in which they were traveling in Lehigh Acres early Thursday morning.

As Andrews stepped out of the car with her baby and diaper bag, the deputy spotted a metal measuring cup containing small white pieces of a cloudy liquid inside the bag, the report said.

The deputy searched the bag and later confirmed the substance was cocaine, according to the Lee County Sheriff's Office.

While deputies searched Andrews, several pieces of crack cocaine fell from her pants onto the ground, the report said.

Deputies say Andrews then began to step on the pieces of crack and grind it into the ground.

A deputy found several more pieces and a clear bag in Andrews' underwear, the report said.
Both were booked into custody at the Lee County Jail. The baby is in the custody of Andrews' mother.

All from a "faulty tag light," eh?
