(Heber Springs, Arkansas) A 25-year-old substitute teacher at Heber Springs High School, Kimberly D. Cagle, has been accused of engaging in sex with a 17-year-old male student. Cagle faces a charge of second-degree sexual assault.
According to Detective Keith Douglass, Cagle and the boy met when both were employed at the Red Apple Inn.
“She said while she was a substitute teacher she saw the 17-year-old at the school and that one evening after work she and the teen went to her friend’s house.”School Superintendent Russell Hester said Cagle is no longer a substitute teacher.
Cagle reported that while she and the teen were at the house they had sex. “She told me she knew it was wrong and that she made a mistake.”
The teen was questioned and confirmed Cagle’s story about the encounter.
