(Charlotte County, Florida) A 34-year-old local woman, Treshunda Laverne Platt, was arrested yesterday for selling crack cocaine to an undercover officer.
Platt got into the undercover car and she told him to drive to 650 Cooper St., in Punta Gorda.Platt faces charges of sale and delivery of crack cocaine within 1,000 feet of a child care facility, possession of crack cocaine, and possession of drug paraphernalia. She also was charged with a probation violation stemming from a previous conviction for robbery.
Once there, Platt took the money, got out, and walked to a home on Ida Street. She returned, gave undercover detective the Crack Cocaine, then walked away. The exchange was within 1,000 feet of a child care facility, a recreation center and a church.
Narcotics Unit members moved in and arrested Platt.
Platt was booked into custody at the Charlotte County Jail without bond.
The linked article doesn't mention it but I'd speculate there is real tragedy in this story if Platt has a handful of children she is neglecting. Crack cocaine leads to devastated lives.
