NC Teacher Accused of Sex with Student

(Monroe, North Carolina) A 27-year-old teacher at Parkwood High School, Melissa Bitz, was arrested on Tuesday for allegedly engaging in sex with an 18-year-old student.

Bitz faces one charge of sexual act by a custodian.

After the initial accusation surfaced, Bitz resigned her position as a first-year Spanish teacher.
