(Nashua, New Hampshire) A 23-year-old local woman, Amanda Jones, was arrested last Thursday for allegedly assaulting a four-year-old girl by burning her buttocks with a cigarette. Jones faces a charge of second-degree felony assault, punishable by a possible seven years in prison.
Police said the Youth Services Division received a report on December 15 that a 4-year-old child had what appeared to be a burn mark on her buttocks. The Youth Services Division learned that a cigarette may have caused the burn.Jones was booked into custody.
The Division conducted an investigation, which determined that Amanda Jones was responsible for the crime that caused this injury.
