OK Teacher Accused of Murder

(Oklahoma City, Oklahoma) An English teacher at Douglass High School, Seidah Muhammad Vaughn, was arrested yesterday on a first-degree murder warrant out of Cedar Hill, Texas.

Vaughn is accused of shooting and killing her roommate, Judy Bell, in February 2008.

Judy Bell was fatally shot inside a home she shared with Vaughn in Cedar Hill, Texas, on Feb. 29, 2008, Cedar Hill police spokesman Corky Brown said.

Vaughn claimed that a burglar had come into the home, shot Bell and then left, Brown said.

“Our officers had a little trouble with that story since there was no sign of forced entry. She (Vaughn) has been a suspect since the very beginning,” Brown said.

Vaughn was booked into custody at the Oklahoma County Jail without bail.
