Woman Allegedly Bites Off Husband's Tongue

(Sheboygan, Wisconsin) A 57-year-old local woman, Karen Lueders, was arrested Monday for allegedly biting off her husband's tongue. She faces possible charges of mayhem and domestic violence.

Willard Lueders, 79, called 9-1-1 for help but he couldn't be understood by the dispatcher. Nonetheless, an ambulance was sent.

Investigators believe as Lueders waited for help, his wife sung Christmas carols, spoke and yelled incoherently.

Police say when they arrived, the were greeted by Karen who had a horn in her hand and was singing outdoors.

Karen Lueders is in custody and is set to undergo a mental health evaluation. Willard was taken to Froedtert Hospital where doctors hoped to reattach his tongue.

Willard was discharged from the hospital. So far, there is no reported update on his status.
