Aflockalypse

The recent discoveries of mass bird deaths in Arkansas and in Sweden have prompted Ireland's largest bookmaker, Paddy Power, to take bets on which country will next experience mass bird deaths.

Currently, the United Kingdom is favored with odds of 2 to 1 with Ireland (4/1) and Finland (6/1) favored next. Spain and Italy are longshots at 20 to 1.

Odds and rules for birds falling in various countries have been posted at the Paddy Power website.
- Applies to the country that next experiences a mass death of birds,
- Must be unexplained,
- Must have an individual news feature on Sky News website,
- Others on request,
- PP decision final in settlement.
For those who seek even more gaming fun, Paddy Power also takes bets on mass deaths of other marine life. Current odds are 6 to 4 for jellyfish, 3 to 1 for starfish, and 8 to 1 for turtles. Check the link for other betting opportunities.
