Colorado Teacher Gets No Jail in Sex Case - Updated

(Fort Collins, Colorado) Former Mountain View High School instructional coach Courtney Bowles, 31, was sentenced today. She was ordered to serve 10 years of supervised sex offender probation.

She will not serve jail time but must perform 80 hours of community service and register as a sex offender.

She is now allowed to see her children after being barred from them since her arrest, although she is still barred from seeing other minors under the age of 18.

So, Bowles was caught slithering and sweating with a juvenile male and, still, she gets no jail. Kind of on the lenient side, eh?

Colorado Teacher Guilty in Sex Case - Updated

(Fort Collins, Colorado) Former instructional coach at Mountain View High School, Courtney Bowles, pleaded guilty earlier today to child abuse causing serious bodily injury with a sexual basis.

According to the plea agreement, Bowles faces a possible 90 days in jail and 10 years probation when sentenced.

The felony charge is less severe than the sexual assault on a child charges with which she was originally charged.

Those charges, and one of contributing to the delinquency of a minor, were dropped, per the plea agreement.

Sentencing by Judge Stephen Howard is scheduled for May 9.

Colorado Teacher Accused of Sex with Boy

(Loveland, Colorado) A 31-year-old teacher of teachers at Mountain View High School, Courtney Bowles, was arrested Friday night after police allegedly caught her in flagrante with a juvenile male in her car.

Bowles faces charges of sexual assault on a child by a person in a position of trust, sexual assault and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

Police said Bowles coaches teachers on instruction at Mountain View High School in Loveland. Police notified the Thompson School District.

Police said the initial investigation indicated this was an isolated incident with no evidence of other victims.

Bowles has been married for eight years, according to her Facebook page.

Bowles was booked into custody at the Larimer County Jail.
