Obama's Film Mother Arrested for Drugs

(Jakarta, Indonesia) A 27-year-old South African model, Cara Lachelle, has been arrested by Jakarta Police for possession of methamphetamine.

According to Sr. Comr. Anjan Pramuka Putra, Lachelle is a South African national who usually resides in Bali and has a place in Jakarta.

The arrest is newsworthy because Lachelle is also an actress who played the part of Barack Obama's mother, Stanley Ann Dunham, in a film released last year.

An undercover operation led to a raid of Lachelle's apartment, the discovery of 1.19 grams methamphetamine and her resultant arrest. If convicted, Lachelle faces a long prison term.

The film in which Lachelle played Dunham is called Obama The Menteng Kid. It depicts Obama's early life in Indonesia.
