Texas Teacher Faces Drug Charges

(La Vernia, Texas) Last week, a 32-year-old seventh-grade English teacher at La Vernia Junior High School, Holly Marsh, was arrested on drug and other charges.

Marsh faces counts of possession of a controlled substance, evading arrest, resisting arrest and assault on a public servant.
A check with the Texas Education Agency shows Marsh is a certified teacher in Texas, but the allegations against her have not made it to, SBEC, the board that investigates alleged teacher misconduct.
Marsh was booked into custody at the Wilson County Jail with bond set at $40,000.
