Affirmative Action Police Officers

(Dayton, Ohio) The Department of Justice filed suit against the city of Dayton in 2009 for not hiring enough minorities as police officers.

As a consequence, the city of Dayton is discarding "test scores of 748 people who passed its police recruit exam and instead base hiring on oral interviews in an effort to improve its minority hiring."
