Two married former schoolteachers from Huntington Beach pleaded guilty Thursday to having an unlawful sexual relationship with a 17-year-old high school student, according to the Orange County District Attorney's Office.

Daniel Alma Shepard, 63, and Gay Davidson-Shepard, 60, pleaded guilty to a court offer to three felonies each, including oral copulation of a minor and one misdemeanor each of contributing to the delinquency of a minor, prosecutors said in a news release.

Sentencing is scheduled for September 27.

(Huntington Beach, California) Former Mesa View Middle School teacher Gay Shepard, aka Davidson-Shepard, was arrested yesterday for violating a restraining order barring her from contacting her alleged victim.

The boy recently told investigators that despite the restraining order, Davidson-Shepard had contacted him, Westminster police detective Alan Aoki said.

Investigators obtained a $50,000 arrest warrant after determining that she had sent text messages and called him multiple times over the past several weeks, Aoki said.

Detectives took Davidson-Shepard into custody at her Huntington Beach home just before 10 a.m. Wednesday, Aoki said.

According to the Orange County District Attorney's Office, Gay Shepard will be charged with violating a protective order.

(Huntington Beach, California) You'd imagine that two veteran teachers would be savvy enough to not try a sexual escapade with a student. Apparently not.

Two local teachers, a husband and wife, have been arrested. The two face sex charges involving a student. The Orange County teachers are accused of having a sexual relationship with the same underage student.

Daniel Shepard, 62, and his wife, Gay, 59, face serious charges for what they allegedly did to a 17-year-old boy at their Huntington Beach home.

Authorities allege sexual assaults took place weekly starting in April 2009.

Daniel Shepard taught at Westminster High School where the alleged victim attended. Wife Gay taught at Mesa View Middle School.

The Shepards were booked into custody and later released on $150,000 bail each.
