Florida Woman Gets Prison for Sex with Boy - Updated

(Apopka, Florida) Last Friday, 33-year-old local woman Cindy Rotarius pleaded no contest to one count of sexual activity with a 16- or 17-year-old child resulting from a relationship she developed through Facebook.

As a result, Rotarius was sentenced to two years in prison.

She was arrested in April after having a brief sexual relationship and exchanging hundreds of text messages with the teen.

Rotarius asked the teen not to divulge their relationship because she feared she would lose her children, according to her arrest report.

After two years in prison, Rotarius will serve eight years of sex offender probation.

(Apopka, Florida) A 33-year-old local woman, Cindy Rotarius, was arrested Thursday for allegedly engaging in a sexual relationship with a 16-year-old boy.

Rotarius faces three counts of sexual assault.

Rotarius told officers her relationship with the boy began March 26 and ended April 5, a report states.

Rotarius contacted the boy on Facebook, and his sister saw them meet several times, police said.

Rotarius was booked into custody at the Orange County Jail.
