NC Teacher Accused of Drug Possession

(Bessemer City, North Carolina) A 40-year-old pre-kindergarten teacher at Bessemer City Primary School, Cynthia “Cindy” Lanford, has been suspended from her teaching position after being arrested for drug possession.

On April 24, police spotted Lanford trying to hide a bag containing 2.5 grams of crack cocaine after a traffic stop.

Lanford was booked into custody at the Gaston County Jail and subsequently released on $1,000 bond.
