Florida Woman Accused of Sex with Male Teen

(Port Charlotte, Florida) A 24-year-old local woman, Amy Marie Varnam, was arrested yesterday for allegedly engaging in sex with a 17-year-old boy.

She faces a charge of sexual assault on a minor.

The boy's mother shared her suspicions with detectives after discovering a message and photo on her son's Facebook page that led her to believe her son was having sexual relations with an adult woman.

Varnam was booked into custody at the county jail with bail set at $20,000.
