(Kiev, Ukraine) Upon receiving news that photographers in Georgia were being arrested on suspicion of spying, a small group of demonstrators gathered at the Georgian Embassy in Kiev.
The protest by members of the FEMEN women's group was aggressively disrupted.
A man came out of the embassy and began to disperse the movement’s activists without identifying himself. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia apologized and said the man who assaulted the journalist is a contract employee who has been fired.
Later, the man began striking the equipment of operators and photographers, demanding cessation of filming and photography.
In response to the journalists’ indignation at his behavior, the man punched a photo correspondent from Kommentarii.
