(Redding, California) Last year, a teacher at the Enterprise School District, Diane Denise Fisher, was arrested for identity theft and other crimes. Fisher awaited proceedings confined at home.
Late last month, 42-year-old Fisher appeared in Shasta County Superior Court and learned that she faced an additional 17 felonies.
Fisher reacted by walking out of the courtroom and becoming a fugitive. The judge issued a warrant for her arrest.
It’s alleged that Fisher, who was out of jail custody and on electronic home confinement as her court cases went through the legal system, disabled the device and, using wigs to help disguise her appearance, opened fraudulent accounts at area banks and casinos with stolen identification.A reward of $1,000 is being offered for Fisher's arrest. Police believe Fisher is hiding out locally.
