(Atlanta, Georgia) Despite facing serious criminal charges, Kimberly Quinlan Lindsey, 44, has gone back to work to oversee a $1.5 billion budget for terrorism preparedness and emergency response.
Police say they unearthed evidence that a 6-year-old boy was involved in sex acts with Lindsey and her boyfriend Thomas Westerman, a fellow CDC employee who is also charged in the case. The child molestation allegedly took place between January and August of 2010 at Lindsey's home in Decatur, Ga.A postponed preliminary hearing awaits rescheduling.
Mekka Parish, public information officer for the DeKalb County Police Department, told WGCL that detectives were notified by a medical professional of the alleged child molestation and that the investigation revealed the boy was involved in various sexual acts including spanking Lindsey and using a sex toy on her.
Police said they found photographs of Lindsey performing sexual acts on two pets, but have released no further details regarding the bestiality charge.

(Atlanta, Georgia) A Centers for Disease Control executive, Kimberly Quinlan Lindsey, 44, and CDC night watchman, Thomas Westerman, 42, have been arrested for allegedly molesting a six-year-old boy. Lindsey also faces a bestiality charge.

Both surrendered to DeKalb County authorities on Sunday.
A medical professional tipped off police to the allegations on Aug. 24, and the subsequent investigation turned up evidence of two incidents. The first happened in Jan. 2010 and the second, more recent on Aug. 22, the paper reported.Both were booked into custody and released on bail.
"During the investigation evidence was recovered that led to the bestiality charge," police spokeswoman Pamela Kunz said in reference to the well-respected scientist.
Authorities did not detail how the crimes were committed or how either of them came in contact with the child.
