Nanny-State News

(Sacramento, California) This week, Gov. Jerry Brown signed some new California nanny-state laws:
- It is now illegal for minors to use tanning beds.

- State agencies are now required to read new regulations and estimate cost of implementation.

- California hospitals will be required to formally promote breastfeeding.
Meanwhile, a seething controversy is developing regarding a federal crackdown on the ubiquitous availability of marijuana in California.
