Carolina Teacher Busted for Drugs

(Beaufort, South Carolina) A 45-year-old teacher at Broad River Elementary School, Alma Weeks, was arrested Sunday after police found marijuana and evidence of dealing marijuana in her home.

Weeks and her boyfriend, Todd Andrew Mobley, 42, reportedly got into a loud fight during which a neighbor complained and the police were dispatched. During investigation of the domestic incident, police noticed suspicious behavior on Weeks' part.
Officers saw what they believed to be marijuana on the floor of the apartment. As they followed her up the stairs, they observed Weeks hiding a plant inside a closet. The officers obtained a search warrant, and found three marijuana plants.

Beaufort Police Chief Matt Clancy said he wasn't sure how the marijuana was packaged but that it was obvious it wasn't for personal use.
Both Weeks and Mobley have been charged with multiple drug offenses. They were booked into custody and released on their own recognizance.
