Colorado Woman Accused of Sex with Minor

(Teller County, Colorado) A 59-year-old local woman, Karen D. Clark, has been accused of engaging in sex with a minor.

Clark faces charges of sexual assault on a child by one in a position of trust and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

The arrest comes a little more than a week after deputies searched a home in the Wilson Lake subdivision, west of Florissant, in connection with a two-year investigation.

“We did uncover a substantial amount of evidence,” in the search, much of which was provided by the victim of the alleged assault, Ensminger said.

On Saturday, Karen Clark’s husband, Bruce Clark, 62, shot himself in the head near the lake inside the subdivision, said Teller County Coroner Al Born.

[It's unknown whether Bruce Clark's suicide is related to the prosecution of his wife.

However, it is reported that Bruce Clark was under investigation for sexual assault when he killed himself.]

Karen Clark was booked into custody at the Teller County Jail with bail set at $50,000.
