Florida Woman Accused of Felony Child Neglect

(Port St. Lucie, Florida) A 33-year-old local woman, Gina Marie Knox, has been accused of felony child neglect after being caught intoxicated and stumbling along the road while holding her child.

Knox was arrested last Saturday.

Port St. Lucie police encountered Knox on Northwest Selvitz Road just south of Northwest North Macedo Boulevard. She held an infant and stood next to a baby stroller.

Knox wasn't steady and kept stumbling into the road while holding her child. Investigators found a half empty bottle of gin and a half empty can of soda in the top of the stroller.

Knox was booked into custody with bond set at $2,500. The child was turned over to the father.
