(Louisville, Kentucky) A 29-year-old, 320-lb. student-teacher formerly at DuPont Manual High School, Trira Guisse, has been accused of assaulting a female freshman student.
Notably, the girl suffers from cerebral palsy and uses a walker. Guisse faces a charge of fourth-degree assault.
According to the arrest warrant, the student was headed into another classroom when Guisse asked her "why are you looking at me?" Shortly thereafter, witnesses said Guisse put the student in a chokehold, causing shortness of breath, according to the court documents.Guisse was booked into custody with bond set at $5,000.
The female student was later taken to Norton Hospital Brownsboro after school, where she was treated for contusions to her neck and throat.
The warrant states that her behavior "became increasingly erratic over the next several hours" and Guisse was later physically removed from the school.
