Florida Woman Accused of Sex with Boy, 15

(Greenacres, Florida) A 38-year-old local woman, Diane Prater, has been accused of engaging in repeated sessions of sex with a 15-year-old boy.

Prater faces 19 counts of lewd and lascivious battery.

The alleged victim and his mother went to Greenacres Department of Public Safety headquarters Thursday and told police that the 15-year-old was being molested.

The teen told police that Prater, his mother's friend, had sex with him at least 19 times, Greenacres Police spokeswoman Capt. Gina Abbananto said in a statement released this morning.

Prater was located and apprehended without incident, and then admitted to having sex with the teen at her house multiple times, according to the statement.

Prater was booked into custody at the Palm Beach County Jail without bond.
