Georgia Teacher Gets Life in Sex Case - Update

(Columbus, Georgia) Former Veterans Memorial Middle School teacher Cristina Preston (aka Christina Preston), 45, has been convicted and sentenced for engaging in months-long sex with a young teen boy.
A jury of six men and six women Wednesday found Preston, 45, guilty of all the charges against her: aggravated child molestation, child molestation, statutory rape and sexual assault on a person in custody.

Superior Court Judge John Allen sentenced her to life in prison with 25 years to serve before she’s eligible for parole, after which she will spend the rest of her life on probation and have to register as a sex offender.
Heh, the jury really didn't like Preston.

(Columbus, Georgia) A 44-year-old teacher at Veterans Memorial Middle School, Christina Preston, has been accused of sexual contact with a 14-year-old male student.

Preston faces counts of child molestation, enticing a child for indecent purposes and sexual assault against persons in custody.
A police report titled “Statutory Rape” involving a 14-year-old boy victim who attends Preston’s school was filed on Monday.

According to that report, the statutory rape occurred about 12:30 a.m. Monday at Cooper Creek Park, 4816 Milgen Road.

Police were called to the boy’s home about 10 p.m. Monday, reports state.
Preston was booked into custody at the Muscogee County Jail without bond.
