Maryland Teacher Accused of Sex with Student

(Montgomery County, Maryland) A 27-year-old teacher at Rockville's Montrose Christian School, Ashley Jean Campbell, has been accused of engaging in sex with a male student for more than a year.

Campbell faces charges sexual abuse of a minor and committing a fourth-degree sex offense.

Detectives spoke with the student, and police said he told them that he had been involved in a sexual relationship with Campbell since the fall of 2010. He was 16 years old when the sex started, police said.

The relationship ended last month, police said.

During the time of the relationship, the boy and Campbell used her vehicle to drive to a park in Montgomery County to have sexual intercourse, police said.

All of the events happened in Campbell's vehicle off school property and after school hours, police said.

Campbell was booked and released on bond.
