California Porn-Star/Teacher Loses Appeal - Updated

(Oxnard, California)
(Oxnard, California) A middle school teacher who was fired after students learned she had appeared in pornography has lost her appeal to return to the classroom, her lawyer said Tuesday.

A three-judge panel unanimously decided Stacie Halas, 32, was unfit for the classroom. Halas was fired in April from her job as a science teacher at Haydock Intermediate School in Oxnard after online videos of her in porn were discovered by students and teachers.

"Although (Halas') pornography career has concluded, the ongoing availability of her pornographic materials on the Internet will continue to impede her from being an effective teacher and respected colleague," Judge Julie Cabos-Owen wrote in a 46-page decision issued Friday by the Commission on Professional Competence.
Superintendent Jeff Chancer applauded the commission's ruling.

For those interested in seeing NSFW images of Stacie Halas taken during her porn career, simply do a Google search. She displays many talents.

California Porn-Star/Teacher Wants Job Back - Updated
{Previous 10/24/12 post]
(Oxnard, California) Former junior high school teacher Stacie Halas wants her job back.
A lawyer for Stacie Halas, who appeared in a series of sex videos under the nom-de-porn Tiffany Six, argued in court on Monday that she was finished with the skin flick business by the time she started teaching science at Richard B. Haydock Intermediate School in Oxnard in 2009.

Also, he argued, porn is legal, and she only did it for the money.

"I think most of us have something in our backgrounds," her lawyer, Richard Schwab, said after the hearing, according to NBC Los Angeles. "And I ask anybody here to cast the first stone."

"What happened six years ago has not impacted her ability to be an effective teacher," he added.
School officials believe Halas' porn history would be too much a distraction to the students.

California Teacher Linked to Porn
[Previous 3/7/12 post]
(Oxnard, California)
The Oxnard School District will meet Wednesday night, after a middle school teacher was put on administrative leave, accused of appearing in at least one pornographic film.

District officials have not released the teacher's name and they have not terminated her.

They placed her on leave on Monday while they investigate the allegations, Oxnard School District Superintendent Jeff Chancer told KTLA Tuesday.

The investigation began Friday when students approached administrators at Richard B. Haydock Intermediate School and told them they had seen a female teacher in a pornographic video.
Awaiting confirmation.

Lawyer makes a good point. I'm surprised good conservatives don't rise up in support of this woman in that she did nothing on the job to justify being fired.

That said, I would have to agree that a bunch of kids going through puberty would certainly find it a distraction if they knew films existed of their teacher naked, screwing, eating fur burgers and getting cumloads on her face.

While I agree one shouldn't always be defined by their past, at the same time, one can't divorce themselves from their past either. In this case, the teacher should have done a better job keeping her past off the radar....but even if she was being discreet and her past became known via other means, she should still take responsibility for her past decisions and do the right and common sense thing.

If she wants to be a teacher, great, no issues here. But restrict her teaching to kids too young to know or understand what a pornstar is. And avoid teaching kids old enough to not only find her past work on the internet, but who are also likely to spend time stroking off to it into the wee hours of the morning. Only to sit in class the next day being taught by the same person who they watched taking a cum bath the night before.

Just saying.....

Good conservatives who would stand up for her, are you SERIOUS? Not even the 'brain-falling-out' (open minded) California liberal would stand up for her, last anon. What are you, 15 wanting her for your teacher, 20 and still in high school, or deluded? To be absolutely honest, I liked how they used to deal with teachers. Once a woman married, she was released from teaching... basically for similar conceptual reasons... the kids knew what she was doing. Well, that and with one-teacher schools, a pregnant teacher was a problem. Two problems with one expedient solution.

Look, she did make a mistake when she was younger. Easy money, perhaps she thought it was fun, boyfriend or *ugh* family pressure, whatever. But working, then, with children? She has no right to it. And it isn't just kids who would find out, it is parents and other teachers, both of whom are being much more careful as teachers, as this page exposes, seem to be on a pedophilia rampage.
